How much wood can a wood chipper chip?

This summary report of a STSM carried out in COST Action FP0902 has just been published in the Forest Energy Observer:

Objective of the study:
The aim of the STSM was to assess productivity and fuel consumption of two different chippers, both tractor-mounted, a drum chipper and a disc chipper, fed with two different raw materials: felling residues and thinning in the first case, felling residues and pulpwood in the second.
